How To Get Organized "Tomorrow is the busiest day of the week!"
Ever notice how some kids are super organized and always know what the assignment is and when it is due? And how about the kid whose locker is next to yours and looks like it should be photographed to appear in the Container Store Catalogue? Well, those of us who struggle to get our acts together (me included) should be borrowing some tricks from these organizational wizards.
Now you may be asking why organization is important. Well, the bottom line is, it will make your life much easier. If you are organized and you hand your work in on time, you will almost guarantee yourself higher grades. And, even better than that, you will also ensure yourself more free time. You won't have to redo assignments or spend precious surfing time hunting for your stuff. There are two major ways to think of staying organized. Some people have trouble with one or the other and some have trouble with both.
The person whose locker looks like it's ready for a photo shoot has excellent Material Management skills. That person really knows how to keep track of his stuff. There are no loose papers anywhere to be seen. The books are all lined up and he can put his hands on any piece of information within a split second.
The person who gets her assignments in on time and who always knows what the assignment is and when it is due, has excellent Time Management skills. She uses her planner for school and social events. She knows that if she is going to train for the next big surf contest, she has to get her work done efficiently and well ahead of time. So how do you acquire these skills? Click on the two links above to learn some cool tricks. |
