If you check out this planner, there are some adjustments you could make. All of the grey font writing is what the teacher assigned. The blue font is what this kid decided to do in addition. First, notice the slots that say Study or No Homework. Study really means you should study but it is up to you how you do it. As for No Homework, the teacher really didn't mean that exactly. The No Homework slot for science just means there is nothing specific to turn in but that the time should be spent on your presentation. So even if you can't move stuff around, there are some things you can do if you plan ahead. If you know, and hopefully you do, about the tests and projects due at the end of the week, you can begin to work on all that over the weekend. I know that doesn't sound like so much fun, but then missing the kiting lesson would be a huge bummer. Vocabulary is a no brainer. Make a list of the words you don't know and study them. Put them on index cards and post them around your house. Make your parents use them in conversation. It takes 30 repetitions of hearing or seeing a word before you truly know it. By having your parents do this for you, you really have to do nothing but listen. Then, 10 minutes before you go to sleep, review all the words. Your memory holds them best right before you fall asleep. The idea here is to look visually at your scheduled life and figure out how you can do it efficiently and effectively - leaving you more time for fun! How To Manage Your Time
