Graphic Organizers
Graphic organizers are meant to help you look at information visually and put that information in some kind of order. A very useful program for creating graphic organizers on a computer is Inspiration. This is a program that you have probably used in school and which all 7th graders receive for their laptops. What is particularly nice about Inspiration is that you can enter your information as a graphic (such as a web or chart) and the program will take your information and, using the same relationships you created in your graphic, create an outline. This is especially nice for people who like to flow with their ideas and not necessarily think in a linear, step-by-step manner.
